About
Three years ago, I graduated from a good college with good grades and a triple major in Marketing, Japanese, and Asian Studies, and I've been un- or underemployed since then. Ideally, I'd like to work for a video game company in any position that I can get, but I'm currently just looking for any job that will give me valuable experience. I've been writing as a hobby for over a year now, and made this site in part because I'd like to start getting feedback on my writing and in part because I've read that having or writing for a video game-related blog is something that looks good on applications for video game companies.
Since one of the major reasons I started this website is that I'd like feedback, by all means, feel free to comment on or share links for anything you see here. I look forward to seeing whether or not people like what I've written.
There are three blogs: Gamesblog, Storyblog, and Blogblog.
Gamesblog is where I'll post game-related articles of all sorts, and will likely be my most often-updated blog. There, you'll find analyses and impressions of video games, thoughts and opinions about the industry, and even daydreams of concepts or plots that I'd like to make or see in video games. Rather than provide traditional reviews that rank games from 1 to 10, I'll focus more on helping you figure out if a particular video game is right for you. Most people use reviews as a tool to figure out if they'd like a certain game, and a numerical scale can oversimplify that process. I also make a lot of League of Legends-related posts.
Storyblog is where I post stories, and will likely be my least often-updated blog. I'm by no means a tremendously experienced storyteller, but I've always liked creative writing, and would like to delve further into the medium. I'll only post something to Storyblog if I think it's of high enough quality to share, so you don't have to worry about reading every experimental attempt I make at figuring out new ways to write. You can find both fiction and non-fiction there.
Blogblog is where I put everything worth posting that doesn't fit into the other two blogs. I'll update this description as I get a better idea of what kind of posts you can find there.
